Under 14 C championship Hurling final
Annaghdown 3-6 Liam Mellows 1-4
Annaghdown under 14 hurlers had a great win this evening over Liam Mellows in Athenry. A solid second half performance gave in which Annaghdown scored 3 goals was the platform for this victory. First half points from Cian Heavey 0-3 (frees) and Nathan Egan 0-1 was cancelled by 1-2 by the city team. Going in a half time Annaghdown were down by 1 point but had the wind at our back. A well taken goal by Shayne... O Neill followed by an excellent point from Nathan Egan gave Annaghdown and early lead in the second half that the never relented. Annaghdown were now in the driving seat and after a long range free from Mark Curry going all the way to the new Annaghdown seemed home and dry. A third goal by Nathan Egan sealed the victory. At the end of the match Ryan Lynchechaun collected the trophy and Nathan Egan deservingly picked up Man of the match.
